    Default A few duo/vix/setup questions!

I think I'm 99% there and fully working, just got a few questions:

Services found - I'm using the original sky dish with two inputs, I've set up both my tuners to Simple - Single - 28.2E Eutelsat etc - no, when I scanned yesterday I got every sky channel that I wanted, I edited a bouquet to my preferences and saved it. when I rescanned today a number of these services are missing particularly a few discovery channels including Turbo (my favorite!) I've checked al channels picked up by the satelite provider (bskyb) and its not there. I've rescanned a few times always using the same settings, can anyone suggest why this is?

Skins - probably a daft question, but can you use vti skins on vix? How do you get the other vix skins through the box? I've looked under menu - settings - plugins but cant seem to download any?

Backup - I've backed up my settings using VUCC but is there a simple way to backup the entire image so I can re-flash from a usb stick? I want it to keep all of my settings, bouquets, preferences etc?

    Any help would be appreciated!

I cannot answer your question on the Vix skins as i dont use that particular image, as for your Scan have you tried updating the sat.xml file to see if that cures your scan

Why don't you just use the autobouquet which you can set to update daily. It also has everything in the same order as sly uk.
You can backup via the image.
    Menu>Setup>Vix>Backup manager/Image manager
You can choose where to backup to. Hdd/Usb, etc by pushing menu when in the Image or Backup manager.
So if you have a usb in the box you can backup straight to usb or backup to hdd and recover it from your network.

Thanks, I had an autobouquet before, but it was missing out quite a few channels. I've seen a new autobouquet plugin has just been released by the vix team so I'll have a play with that, but that wouldn't solve the problems of the channels that have been missed from the scan would it?

    This worked a treat thanks!

For other users, download it from satellites.xml generator / transponder .ini generator
Put in etc/enigma2 (others posts say put it in tuxbox, but this worked for me)

On the VIX image there is a built backup system. Saving just settings or a full backup. With remote > setup > VIX
Either Backup manager or Image Manager, or even both
