It's for the newer liteon 4ds boxes. You will need to check if you have 1 of these drives or a hitachi or liteon 5ds drive.

the son-in-law has a banned box with 1.9 on i think and put a new game in from a m8 and now its updated , can l flash back to 1.9 again so he can still use the games he has ? or go l have to update to 3.0 and update games ?

You will have to go with 3.0 due to dae.bin changes, plus this will inhert ap2.5

If I recall. 2.0 was released for backup xdg3 discs. 1.91 was for originals of xdg3 not copies.

For the ap2.5 patches are for either dash until topology data was Introduced.

Personally. I'd go with 3.0. Be much easier in the long run. If its the latest dash where can you get the ap2.5 replay sectors from? Abgx would insert the topology data for lt3.0

You should be able to use lt2.0 for most of the ap2.5 games and some of the older xgd3 games. The problem you will face soon will be that because there is now 0800 v3 fw people now extract the topology and inject it into the iso before it gets uploaded to sites. If you download one of these games with the topology already injected the the game won't boot on your lt2.0 because the fw has found something that it wasn't designed to see
