    as per sgtflipflop instructions:

Use any FTP client, DCC for example, to transfer the picon directory to one of the following paths on Flash, HDD, CF or USB respectively:

    /usr/share/enigma2
NOT recommended, because of limited capacity of the flash memory

    /media/hdd
HDD will keep running indefinitely and may affect image performance

    /media/cf
Recommended if CF available and successfully mounted (8000/800)

    /media/usb
Recommended if USB available and successfully mounted (8000/800)

Picon will display immediately on zapping, no further setup required!

Always remove old picons from Dreambox before uploading new ones, Sometimes they don't overwrite correctly

The Picon name must match the the service name in the user Bouquet or the picon must be named with the service reference number. You can use Dreamboxedit to assign the picons.

Hi, I dont know whether you have checked the following:
-For a HD skin, the Picons should be 100 pixels x 60 pixels and bit depth 8, 256 colours.
-The picons must be sent to the file location as set in Newnigma2 (I use a CF on my DM8000) This can be done by Dreamboxedit but you must set the path to the above location. Dreambox edit assigns the service reference to the Picon name.
-For the picon to work, it must be named with either the service ref. or the exact name in the user bouquet or service list.

    Default New Enigma picon resolution

    MANUALLY ADD PICONS:
Blue Button > Newnigma? Services > System Tools... > Expert Menu
and here are the options for "Skin picon.." and "LCD Picon..." - change the settings with right & left-button on your remote control.
Choose the /media/cf folder in the OSD-Preferences
You need picons with channel reference style ( 1_0_19_12E_1EDC_9C_FFFF0000_0_0_0.png )
    Save your sd-picons to /media/cf/picon
    or your hd-picons to /media/cf/piconHD

I have also found that the folder names are CAPS lock sensitive.
Sadly I cannot install these on my USB and make them work.

for the 800hd box, is it possible to set it up without the 'reserve' channels and at the same time following the starhub numbering?
