    humaxdriver...
I guess the only reason to network mount is to make the DM500 acts like it has a HDD, then you can record your movies and play it back from your HDD in the PC through dreambox.
but if you need it to backup your box then you can use many programs you'll find them here in the forum like...
    FlashWizard 6.3
    Universal DreamUp 1.3.3.4
    Dream Control Center (DCC 2.95b)

If u still need to mount please let me know
    regards

Use this method and files below. They are hand pdf files that someone once wrote relating to the Eagle-Dreambox clone, I have included ngrab and rename tools for video playback to a Dreambox.

vista is very awful... I tried many times to mount a CIFS but I couldn't, as dreambox can't see it.... this problem always faces me when I'm trying to connect Vista PC to a network, it can't see nor be seen by any pc in the network, but I tried to mount the dreambox with xp and windows 7 and it is working fine with me

    h**p://www.pli-images.org/modules/wiki/index.php?wakka=E1Mount

    I followed these instructions m8.

Make sure that the location can be seen as a shared folder.

After you mount it restart the box as I hadn't done that and thought it never worked but after restart perfect

Default Can Vista read hardisk on dreambox from Explorer?

Hi all, anyone know if its possible for Explorer to access a 2TB hardisk in a DM 8000 so I can save torrents to it and access them from laptop? That will free up some space on my laptop if utorrent access's the dreambox hardisk rather than a local disk.

    Thanks in advance
