    Default Xentry 01 2011

I don't use this thing much as it is only for my Smart car and a few mates with Mercs. Usually I use it so infrequently that when I want it I have to reinstall because it's greater than 3 months since I last used it. This isn't generally a problem but I wanted it yesterday and haven't used it since last August so I reinstalled and Xentry just will not work.

    Iget the 2221.1 nr.4 error.

Googled it and tried all the things with the windows/zak/stardiag/commonlic.dll file and the file at 142k allowed me to save the key in stardiag after i deleted the old key file c:\Documents and Settings\All users\Application data\licdir\lic_key_2.dat.

I still get "2221-1 xentry could not be started, key status message nr.4"

I have a million different executables that are supposed to fix it and have reinstalled all from scratch and reinstalled just xentry but I still have this message.

This time once I get it going I am going to image the bloody thing unless someone can tell me how to stop it timing out after 3 months or can tell me which bits I should save then copy back when it does time out.

It drives me nuts with all it's little fixes. Is there no good explanation of what the fixes are, what times out and stops it working. Little executables are fine for patching files but I would rather patch manually if I can find out what to patch.

I can help you but only if you want me to help you
All the questions should start from what car, what year, what engine is what fuel. What are the symptoms of the problem. Only then is what you know, what fault code, live data, what you have done.

I have to mind that when you close and then reopen the key to it change or remain in the old

This is just a small executable that deletes the key file. It is much easier to just delete the key file and it doesn't do anything for the error I have.

Who comes up with these things, the net is full of small executables that take 15 times as long to do something with 20 times the effort than it is just to do what the executable does anyway.

Is it because people try to keep it secret and make out it's some big fix to delete a key file.

If directly it is means - incorrect installation mate

When I install Xentry I get a message about not valid key. I then run "Xentry install fixed solutions.exe" and after that I get the 2221 error message. I am sure this is the way I have done it before but maybe I am wrong and this file is not the one I have previously run after installing Xentry.

    Can anyone advise about that?

So you're doing just that, or completely - uninstall xentry than re install xentry
go to run xentryloeschen.bat from D:\StarBackup\ Than Re-Install Xentry than Re-Install SDNC - rename Networkfilter.exe
    Run
    1. Xentry 9.2011 Fixed Solutions
    2. Xentry 9.2011 Missing Photo Fixed Solutions
    3. Xentry Blacklist Fixed Solutions
    4. reboot

I have isntalled over the existing in stall and I have uninstalled before re-installing and I have uninstalled then manually deleted everything I can find before reinstalling. All have the same effect.

So where are these files I need? I tried searching but it doesn't help much.

All you need mate is the zolookas guide, all these other fixes/patches/solutions are either bandaid solutions or propaganda to cause more problems.

Download zolookas guide (should be on this forum) and run starinsecure.exe, then go into starutils to enter key.

    Do you mean this?

    http://www.digital-kaos.co.uk/forums...2011-a-226318/

Because that is what I am using already.

I think I need the Xentry fix for 2011 01. I must have had it at some stage but the fix I am using now gives me the nr.4 error once I have used it. I think before I run it all is good apart from the key not being accepted as valid.

    That sorted it. Cheers.

Why was it so damned hard to find that bit of information.
