Hi mate. If you look at my profile you will see 3 pics. The wis won't allow me to save the screen pic. I have to use my phone. . My problem i thinhave found. The red relay R7 try and put a wire into 85 of the relay and to earth. R7 is the engine control relay and various other items. If your car starts then this wire runs directly to the ecu. On this 2008 car its pin 72 of the ecu . I will look to see if its the same on your car. My car starts when i bypassed it to earth. Looks like this wire is broke somewhere from ecu to 85 of the main engine control relay.

Yes, I have found out the same.

Do you have any info where does wire from 85(relay R7) leave fuse box and what color it is? I don't think it goes to pin 72 of the ECU in my case ... please take a look at this if you can, thanks!

hi mate, not sure if you will see this diagram, i cant seen to upload then, oh its worked i will put a few more on, yer the one i was working on is the new shape 08 car with traction control, contact service on and wont do anything, the switching of the relay on this car is activated by the engine ecu through the ignition but it looks like its broke somewhere between the relay and pin 72 on the ecu, this job should be easy now for me, hope this diagram helps mate,

Unplug ecu. Get a flasher unit with a 21 watt bulb so it is going mad
Poke the o/p wire into the relay holder. Split the loom every 12 inches and dee if you find said flashing wire with testprobe

Thanks mate for the pics, but these are for ABS/TC control unit, which is in my case just fine. Why should I check earths on pins 11/24, if the problem is between ECU and relay? Could you get me that wiring?

All the questions should start from what car, what year, what engine is what fuel. What are the symptoms of the problem. Only then is what you know, what fault code, live data, what you have done.

    hi meat
on the late 07 facelift models the red relay in the engine compartment, 85 of that relay goes to pin 72 on the ecu, on the one i am busy with i earthed it and car started, looked at the diagram and the wire goes straight to pin 72, so really just a case of checking its broken and running a new bit alonside the harness, hope to get it fixed tomoz, btw this car was showing tc error and nothing on the key, no comms to engine ecu when op com plugged in,

    Default fixed

well the saab is fixed, ran a new wire from relay to pin 72 of the engine ecu or as saab called it injection ecu, anyway traction control was on and car done nothing, this brown and white wire runs from the red relay in the under bonnet fuse box, no 85 on the relay, it is number 6 on the block under the fuses and straight down to pin 72 on the ecu,, its worth a quick continnuity check for anyone with a problem such as this

    OFF TOPIC:-

Had a Vectra-C.com in other week, lost wioperas, that fusebox was faulty, from relay to relevent pin.

So did an Eminem and went round the outside from the relay to the wiper motor.

Jungle drums were beating the other saying, decoded the message as
    "common for filling with water"

Yeah i like that Eminem song where he says "round the outside, round the outside"
