    Default Skybox f5 reboots

    Hello I have just got a skybox f5 I set it up at my house working fine I have took around my mate plugged it in the box keeps rebooting itself if I take out the cable the box turns on fine if I plug the sky feed in again the box just reboots all the time any help please

    Sounds like a short circuit protection coming on built into the box if it works at your house then check your friends cabling and 'F' connector for any loose shield strands touching the inner core, also has he any other receivers connected to the dish itself.

    Yes he has a dm800 pro connected up to the lnb has well the cable are all fine

    Try disconnecting the 800 so that just the F5 is on the LNB and see if that works, also worth trying it in place of where the 800 is situated now.

    i more problem just plugged the box in at my house and there is no signal from box to tv. the tv says tv mode not supported

    Get it re-flashed and start from scratch set it up at your house and take it to your mates and try again

    i have the box at my house how do i reflash if i cant get a picture on the tv

    Very true its great if you knew how to do it from memory have you tried the other Video ports such as scart and the phono output to see if they work for a picture

    have you been putting the hdmi cable in and out when the box and tv are switched on and connected to each other? and blown the video output. also some hdmi cables will not work on 1080p so if you have one of these hdmi cables and the box is set to 1080p tv ouput will not be recognized by the tv.
