    Default Multidiag 64 bit working

    Good day members of DK

I had a HP 620 with windows xp pro on it and was using it everyday 100% with clone multidiag 1-2012 (19.09). Laptop broke and so bought a new HP Pavilion G6-2203si with windows 8 on it. Tried to load xp pro on it but no go because of encryption on the chipset. Managed to load windows 7 on it and vagcom works well but multidiag no go.

The multidiag software installs but will not connect to to any vehicles. When I try trouble shoot it it says drivers not digitally signed. I have heard that it needs 64 bit drivers so want to know if there are any members who can help me with drivers to get it working with windows 7?

    Many thanks in advance

    try this
    1. Click Start, and then click Control Panel.
    2. Under Pick a category, click Performance and Maintenance.
    3. Under or Pick a Control Panel icon, click System.
    4. Click the Advanced tab.
    5. In the Performance area, click Settings.
    6. Click the Data Execution Prevention tab.

Here you can disable DEP for all programs or you can add programs to the exception list for which DEP should be turned off.

    here's another

    Turn on your computer,
Keep pressing F8 (Function Key 8 ), until the computer opens up the Bios screen.
You need to look for the Option to "Turn Off Digital Signing".
You need to DISABLE or TURN-OFF Digtal Signing
Save the changes to the Bios, and close the Bios page.
Then let the computer finish loading the Windows operating system.

    do it command prompt way
    1. Go to the Start menu and type cmd.exe in the Search Bar. Right click on cmd.exe and choose Run as Administrator

    2. When the command windows opens, copy and paste the following and hit Enter.
    bcdedit.exe -set loadoptions DDISABLE_INTEGRITY_CHECKS
    bcdedit.exe -set TESTSIGNING ON

Restart your computer for the changes to take effect

    Did you mean MD I-2010?

I don't think that MD software itself would support w7/64 even the quite old driver in the install package wouldn't do neither. But if want to try the latest driver package download from here (version 2.8.1.12).

Thank you mate. Will that not upgrade and lock my multidiag unit? Besides that those downloads are for the newest Bluetooth units.

No, it's just the driver. When I was using I-2010 I did upgrade the driver to v2.7.w (old style naming), two version before this one but newer than in the install package, and working fine.

anyway yours is I-2010 and not I-2012?

Edit: if I remember right, they just combine the bluetooth and non-bluetooth in one package recently.

Edit2: just tested v2.8.1.12 on my machine and now I think you would be with various issues on your new system with MD I-2010 (19.xx). One possibility that could solve them all is on virtual machine of XP.
