Hi,
I have a trade customer with 3 2009-2010 Octavias. All three have the same fault. The left indicator on the dash, the battery light and the bonnet open warning light are all lit dimly as soon as the dash is powered up. The lights work fine otherwise but when they're off they aren't fully off.
Has anyone come across anything like this with this clusters?
Thanks,
Ronan.

Are these three lights close together on the dash ?
It could be just light leaking from another part of the dash which will look like other lights faintly lit.
If the white plastic mould that sits on the PCB is not tight the light can leak out.

open one to see ...
light switch round bezzel clip out ..
right and left trim trim piece clip out ..
you will see 2 torx..
leather steering shroud pull out 2x torx for speedo..
2x hidden clips top of speedo either side use thin steel ruler ..
dash pod pops out..
good luck..

I have it out and open. The leds definitely are lit dimly. I haven't examined it thoroughly yet, just thought someone may have seen it before.

these are known to have faulty led drivers,

It could also be that 1 led is broken and this makes other leds in same circuit light up a little bit.

Replacing led *does* fix it, but you have to find the responsible led.
Also maybe you have a different problem perhaps ..

Seems to be a very common problem,
