Default BMW EWS - How to read OD46J without desoldering

    Hi,

i want to make a full dump (not only the 512bytes eprom) from a EWS3 MCU (0D46J) without desoldering the mcu.
A PLCC test clip should be good enough to establish the connection to the programmer.
But what about the connections on the board, i think i have to cut some wires on the pcb to get full access to the mcu, right?

    Can somebody help?

    regards

    SP

Can confirm because did one yesterday and it works 100%. Can lock old /lost keys and program new key without removing anything.

    Hi,

just to make it clear, i want to read the full dump not only the Eeprom.
I have Xprog here, is there any way to read the full dump with Xprog or only with UPA?

    regards

I just found out that the ROM can only be programmed during manufacturing, so copying from one hc11 to another hc11 is not possible.
