    Default BMW 118D DTC OFF

Hi all, i need your help if possible,

I am struggling with an DTC on EDC17CP02, the car has the DPF off at least I believe it has, the DPF is not in place and the sensors are connected.

the problem it is around 3800revs it triggers an DTC 4185 - Exhaust temperature sensor before particulate filter, converted to decimal is 17663. There is anyway to delete this DTC? Or the EGT sensor needs to be replaced?

One more thing, combined with the fault message at 3800 +/- there's a drop of power.

You don't need to delete any DTC with the DPF off on this, so you need to look at that.

You think it might be a faulty sensor?

Probably not, as sensors don't need to be connected when DPF is switched off.
