Looks like the tuner is faulty you could try replacing the BFG94 but i am not 100% sure that this would cure the problem.

Thanks Fergal! I do have a tuner which was soldered into another Nokia I have (which didn't fix that box's problem and tuner was bought as "100% Working")

If I upload the bootlog from the other box, would you be able to determine if that tuner is ok and maybe see if you can see any thing obvious in the log as to what that box's problem is - the syptoms are not picking up transponders which is why I had the tuner replaced .

Here is the bootlog from the other box I have with a "new" tuner soldered into it - if anyone can spot an obvious problem, I would be grateful for your advice!! Cheers!!

What image is on if commando change it then select evocamd plug feed in then grab another bootlog
its also a good idea to attach the bootlog as a .txt file otherwise this thread will be a mile long.

    Code:
    [camd] CA_SEND_MSG: Remote I/O error
If I remember correctly, that's a problem with the SEC chipset on the mainboard and not the tuner. I didn't see any errors relating to the tuner. It could also be one of the components around the SEC chip, dry joint on a resistor or capacitor, etc. If you're handy with a soldering iron you could try re-sweating the joints before desoldering the tuner. Worth a go...

Thanks DF! Tried cleaning and pushing in SEC chip to no avail!

So is there any way to be sure that the SEC chip has gone in the 2nd box? I see that dbox.com have replacements for 25 euros - would a TV repairer be able to replace it if I supplied it and, if so, I suppose it would make sense for him to replace the 3 usual components of the tuner on the 1st box too? That would in theory mean 2 working boxes again - Or would I be better off putting 2nd box tuner into 1st box then binning the rest (minus screen ) - Please advise, cheers!

I would not bother you would need expert soldering skills and equipment to replace the sec chip
i would try replacing the BFG94 in the other box first
