Default Can a Dbox get F1 on BBC "Red Button" ?

The BBC send F1 practice sessions through the normal NTL box. Access is by pressing the red button on the remote control. My question is.

Can a Dbox receave this signal or is it carried on some form of sub carrier the Dbox can not decode?

If the Dbox can decode the signal. How is it done?

help please I spent last night sat in bed with a laptop watching on Iplayer.
