i'm pretty sure it has to be the same, i don't think jf will let you spoof a drive.

    HI Cunny me again ,

Thanks for all you have done for me with the xbox problem and also thanks for the offer of having a look for me, to be honest i do like trying to sort things out myself , its part of the fun

Anyway i purchased a sata card and another broken xbox (won for 99p on ebay) i have pluged the old liteon in on the box i won and its dead as a dodo, i also tried the power cable and sata from the 1 i won on ebay and still its dead ,

as soon as i attach the drive from the xbox i won to my carcase , windows see's the drive

so i wondered if i can flash this drive with my original key,

Unfortunatly the drive isnt a liteon its a GDR-3120L
the xbox wont be connected to xbox live

    What you think Cunny ?

No. Its totally wrong. You need a phat liteon. Spoofing is not supported anymore.

What sata card have you bought?

4 Port SATA PCI Expansion Card &IDE VIA VT6421a chipset

If i had at least some power on the old liteon i would send it you mate but think its a total waste of time

So theres no way of installing the hitatchi drive ?

They updated the liteons to 0251. Thats all phat liteons. Problem here is the chipset aint compatable fully to flash. The drive is now blanc and just wants the fw resending once the drive is intro'd with a compatable chipset
