Default How To Transfer Files Wirelessly to Your Android Phone via WiFi

It can be a pretty annoying to plug in your Android phone to your desktop or laptop just to move some wallpapers or ringtones around. Luckily, you don?t have to stay tethered. If you're on a home Wi-fi network, it?s easy to get access to your files with no cables needed. There?s a simple, free method to do this

just head on over to the Android Market and pick up the free app called SwiFTP. This app runs an FTP server on your phone. The interface is minimalist and the options are scarce, but it gets the job done. Start the server and input the local FTP address into your favorite file browser on your computer. We found performance in Windows Explorer to be a bit slow, but using a standalone FTP program like FileZilla (also free) works great as well

if you have some spare money ( ?1.86 /$3 Free Lite Version also available ), try the Websharing app in the Android Market. This app does it all without the need for additional software on the desktop side; you just need a web browser. Fire up the server and use your desktop browser to navigate to the address provided. Through this interface you have full read/write access to your phone?s SD card.
