Default Autocom Delphi CDP+ Flight Recorder Solution Repair

    Self explanatory
do when micro-sd card is not found by vci (Operation Failed:EraseFRArea failed)
the problem is that card detection switch of micro-sd socket is not enabled in clone vci's
after shorting solution, vci can work with or without card inserted
just don't use flight recording functions if card is not inserted
tested by myself with 2gb fat formatted card, works great, solved my problem

of course i'm using 1230 firmware version, not 1232 or 1310 which are supposed to work bad with clones

    Default Speaker Solution

    confirmed!
it works with cheap piezo buzzer disc i recycled from a broken mc donald's child menu toy
not too loud but i can hear the beeps and the music (5 tones) when using flight recorder
notice how disc is suspended on air by tape

btw, check that the flight recorder button is not always pressed because of the vci case, i had to use two washers around 2 of the screws so that button remains released until i press it

don't remember, i just think it was yellow
i just tore it into pieces and kept some components in the soldering box
piezo transducer discs are very cheap, ask it in your local electronic dealer as piezo transducer disc 4khz (+- 0.5khz) 20mm diameter usually, with 2 leads, without built-in generator... cased version with a central hole beeps much louder... it just need not to be very thick, just some mm
you can also find it in any item that beeps like shampoo promotion clock-alarm, alcohol breath tester, etc...

Why do you say that 1232 and 1310 not are good firmware versions for clon?

i read a lot about firmwares after 1230:

"The 2012.3 version when updating for internet the firmware change 1232. Firmware 1232 I do not recommend. But then you can upgrade and the firmware rewrite for 1230. recommend not to update the Firmware CDP, but update the software yes recommend.
I updated my highest when the 1230 version of the rewrite again the 1230 version and the Autocom is saying you have the newest version. But I would stick with firmware version 1230 is stable Chinese clone. The 1232 gives problems like you do not Reconce VCI and weird things happened to me in a Chinese clone of 5 digits (CDP PRO) (20418, 30252 ...)"

    Default autocom cdp+ 1230 firmware

i'm stucked on 1230 firmware whichever is the version of autocom/delphi 2012.3.3 or 2013.1
how? extract 1230 firmware .rar into program files' firmware folder so that firmware is never updated when testing vci
re-extract .rar everytime the software is updated via internet (2012.3.1 to 2012.3.2 and 2012.3.3) but i don't recommend updating 2013.1 to 2013.1.1 because patch is not ready for that version (avoid updating by renaming "wyUpdate.exe" to "-wyUpdate.exe" for example)

I had also the same problem with erasefrarea error. Tried the manocao fix still didnt work. After that i found out that the pins of the sd card didnt touch the card correctly when the card was inserted so i soldered the sd card directly to the pins (2Gb). After that i checked the pins and found also that the pin 3 from left to right (should be ground of the micro sd) didnt have a stable contact so i soldered a wire directly to the gnd. Now the flight recorder works

Did as you advised, after that the device stopped working, when connected to the car, the LEDs do not Shine. Checked fuses on 12 and on 5 volts both they whole but on them there is no nor 12 nor 5 volts.
You have not encountered a similar problem, what could it be?
    I hope it's not a microcontroller.
Can you tell me how it can be checked?
