    Default sw I try to change the instrument panel g.punto

    as the title, I want to change some parameters on the display of the elm327 fiat grande.punto as an interface I changed, I've already modified MES but just little things someone can help me, thanks

    I don tunderstand your question. elm327 is a diag tool. very poor one. you cannot modify instr cluster with that

    I thought there was a sw which could collaborate with elm ..
    I saw a video on the internet where a guy dispaly visualized on the instrument panel km / h prex turbines and other things.

    ohh. yes there is software to view instrument cluster on PC. Palmer software, scan master...

    noo I do not want to see the instrument panel on the pc .. xdxd
    I am just like in the link Grande Punto custom dashboard display - YouTube
    on cars of this series is not displayed and wanted to know how to do

    It would be possible with ELM 327 (probably 2) - one for reading all relevant OBD data and one for sending the translated data to the display on the can bus just like the radio info is sent. Some extra electronics (PIC ?) will be needed for the data translation.

    elm can could provide data transfer an interpretation to LCd can line...but i dunno if ther eis need for software to interpert info

    i know the Stilo uses 6 bits data packets to send the RDS data info to the display with a fixed tranfer rate - so for example with 12 bytes (96 bits) you can display 16 symbols (16x6=96) on the display. I guess the same trick is used in other Fiat models..... So basically we need a clever guy capable of transferring retrieved OBD2 data to 6 bits RDS data (simple explanation but i'm sure it's not as simple as it seems to be...)
