    Hi
Can anyone help me with my Skybox F5. I have had this box for about 5 months with no problems. I updated the channel list today and now it wont boot up. It just says LOAD on the front panel.

After trawling the net trying to find info on flashing my apparently dead F5, using various loaders/firmwares etc and being told USB to RS232 would work, I finally managed it.

I've provided a link to the loader I used and the offical firmware I downloaded from Skybox.cc

    https://drive.google.com/folderview?...XM&usp=sharing

    https://docs.google.com/file/d/0B2ch...XM&usp=sharing

    What I did....

Attached the USB adapter to the laptop.
Attached the null modem to the adapter and to the Skybox(unplugged the Skybox)
    Started the Erom upgrade loader.
Selected the correct port, left all the other info as is.
    Selected the firmware, ticked bootloader.
    Selected next
Plugged the skybox in and let it run through the process.

    Result, fully working Skybox.

    Hope this helps.

If anyone knows of a better host for me to upload to so you have free access to the files, let me know. As I say, I'm a noob is mate it s on the furom thanks to

How do you put a precious channel list on a box that is stuck on Load?

    I like it!

Just a little not a lot. (I'm sure that was a Paul Danials saying)

Oh! it should have read previous but I suppose precious is more appropriate when you have a box that wont boot.

where did you download channel list??? aj??? when uploading new channel list you should make sure usb is empty with only relevent file on usb. also once process complete, remove usb and then restart receiver.

need to recover using null modem cable. process take around 5 min to complete.

I have a USB stick with over 25gb of files on it that I use for all and sundry including files for around twenty different boxes and the files load and dump without any problems.

Having other files on the stick just means you just have to select the correct one. To be sure always double check.
