    Wad installer, or rename it to boot.dol run it that way m8.

    ok done all that, some games work others get the either unreadible disk error or the error 349 in backup launch..now backup games work after giving the DVD a good clean so either the DVD are scratched or the DVD player is a bit iffy

    anyone done the pot tweak on the DVD drive

    decided to use the USB loader to play games, need to get a 500 GB HDD now

    ok what firmware is the wii on.

    I have had this problem a few times but just updatied the wii + chip and everything ran.

    i know dvd-r work fine on 3.2 - 3.4

    I take it you have the rev 9 installed with the usb loader?

    I would also try to put 3.4 on the wii.

    From the info on firmwares :Wii system software - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

    3.4 has better disc handling. Or just try another brand of dvdrs

    nope not installed usb loader

    do I need the ios 429 rev 9 for the usab loader to work then
