I think Sneijder the god choice man...

I think Ferguson does mean Anderson can step up but as for replacing Scholes then you just cant. He was a rare genius, always found space and his range of passing was infinite he was so adept at finding the right pass be it short, long, lofted, zipped across the turf or drilled into space i mean i could go on forever. Utd now need to find a way of playing without him and for large parts of last season (without him) we played without possession of the football and very often lost the midfield battle but the counter attacking strengths that Nani offered early on and then the emergence of Hernadez and later the form of Rooney and fitness of Valencia ultimately won us the title.
Sneijder seems to be the bookies choice and he is a World class talent that any side would have in their squad. My first choice would be for Nasri as he seems to have similar attributes to a youthful Scholes but like I said before you cant replace him so why try ? We will need to find that midfielder who can take games by the scruff and control possession and Sneijder seems to be that man.
Weve been badly battered by probably the best footballing side this century has seen due to epically losing the midfield battle and to change that we need more possession of the ball.
@Wesley Sneijder just sign the fking contract will you mate and lets see your magnificent talent in the prem next year.

I still hope Sneidjer comes to the Champions. Anderson, anybody who knows football knows that he has potential to be one hell of a midfielder, 23 is still to young to compare him to Scholes, only time will tell. Remember 2009/10 season he ended up injured and didn't come back until last November, this is his first summer where he is injury free and not at Internationals.
We seen what he done against Arsenal he bossed that midfield. The main thing is to get his fitness levels up where he's not too tired to go past 70 minutes.
This season with the injury free start is going to be his best so far for UTD.
Remember when Ronaldo left and look what it done for Nani.

anderson could be a great player but he is shackeled by the system he has shown glimpses of the talent we bought him for he can be quick and skill full with a good eye for a pass but too many times he goes backwards and doesnt join in up the top end of play hr seems to get used a lot defensively

we bought him as the new ronaldinho he was strong quick and very attack minded for porto

we need to play him with a covering midfielder he should be our main man and should despite him being that left footed he looks off balance a major goal threat of 10-15 a season

he needs fitness badly and a free role too see the best of him

I have not been around for a while. What do you fellas think about transfer window for UTD? I am personally scared. Young was never my pick, Jones is for the future and De Gea is very young (although I like that he came).

Hope more players will come. Nothing happens

3 games played, 3 games won! Good come back last night, the lads looked very tired playing in that heat.

not sure wolfie i think young will be an excellent buy though i expect him to chip in with a few goals and a fair few assists

de gea little unsure about early days yet but he didnt seem very commanding in his area and looks a little weak

i suppose experience and learning the lingo will help in time and then we will see

jones again time will tell no doubt about it that they have him and smalling down as our new vidic and ferdinand for the future i havent seen enough yet

im hoping we get a star turn in the middle but its starting to look more unlikely IMO

Giggs looking sharp pre season and i thought wellbeck looked good the other night cleverly was poor

i think we may see rooney playing a little deeper if we dont sign anyone in the middle of the park i have a feeling he may start too play there more

Watching game from last night its early days but i think lindegard may be no1 at the start of the season he looks just more composed and more in control than de gea

and on pre season so far he gets the nod from me i think we might see de gea eased in gently

I know it's pre-season but i'm genuinely excited about this current squad of players, yet another win by the Champions (19)

im not yet we are still short in the middle carrick and park are in thier 30's and giggs is pensionable soon

the squad is definately good enough for the league though but we need more than that if we are to compete for honours in the CL

I agree, posted all this in post before today, Gill has said one more, so lets hope that one is the one we need for winning the UCL.

what with a 35 mil price tag 250k a week on a 5 year dear thats like 90 million quid fork out for a player with relativly no resale value ..

I'd love him in our midfield but i dont think it's gonna happen unless the qutari rumors are true ...
