Good win guys, and good to see Scholes again
Heard this early in the week and passed off as nothing story then Scholes is on the bench today hahaha. Did look rusty and bad pass for City second goal but great to see him back and the last ten min Utd controlled possesion of the ball with Scholes at the hub of everything. Paul Scholes 71 passed attempted 97% complete.
I did not see a sending off today, however Kompany knows if you go 2 footed and studs up then you are asking for the referee to make decisions. Dowd is useless and inconsistent on his better days and this was not one of those. Fortunately he did not spoil the match as a spectacle because it did end a great game but I am sure many from City will feel "massive"ly agrieved
United should bury this game and had Dowd not missed clear penalty on Valencia then maybe they do but it made for an exciting end.
Perhaps now SAF realize that Scholes is never replaced and convinced him to come back, maybe now see a different Utd and with City losing key players to Africa cup it is very much game on.
It wasn't Phil Dowd it was Chris Foy
Foy has had a few bad games this season he was incharge of qpr v chelsea when he sent 2 chelsea players off,
Valencia should have had a pen true stone wall pen for me, i thought Kompany's red was harsh but two footed see them given nowadays.
Overall great game for the neutrals
