i know rules are rules but i belive the ref got it right not sending him off he should have got a yellow though
daft as it sounds i think it was just the timing of the foul as it was only a couple of minutes in to the game i think he used his own discretion and thought the penalty was enough its a cup final il let the game flow
i genuinely think he would have done the same if it was dunne on rooney
if it happened later in the game i think it would have been different
was defo a sending off though vidic did force him a couple of steps wide and evra was catching up would be a weak defence for ref,rules state he should have gone regardless of time gone in the match,glad he didnt
I think a penalty is sufficient.
sometimes you get the luck and sometimes you dont..
