Well i'll leave you in cloud cuckoo land with your embarrassing summary of great managers if that's what you really believe.

    THE TRUTH
    The Hillsborough Independent Panel. 12/09/12

Today's report is black and white. The Liverpool fans were not the cause of the disaster.
The panel has quite simply found 'no evidence' in support of allegations of 'exceptional levels of drunkenness, ticketlessness or violence among Liverpool fans' and 'no evidence that fans had conspired to arrive late at the stadium' and 'no evidence that they stole from the dead and dying'.

Everyone in the world outside of Liverpool knows that Sir Alex is the greatest football manager of all time..

    And that will do me

You could well be right. I never disputed Ferguson was a great manager, just not the greatest. The facts are there to see. Unless like you, you choose to ignore the achievements of The great Liverpool managers and choose to try and slur them instead.

Like I said as long as our arses have holes
I think just for longevity, consistent success and also an ability to not just move with the times but to also create new ideas to keep at the top Ferguson is the master. His trophy record is unrivalled domestically and but for arguable the best club side ever assembled (current barca) then undoubtedly his European record would look a little more polished.
For me it's Sir Alex for anyone inside Liverpool it will be Paisley or Shankly and for pillapow it will be Kenny
    Each to their own

Walkinmyshadow reckons he was running scared after taking us from the second division to the brink of the greatest team in Europe.
The reason the argument goes on is because it's not cut and dried as to who was\is the greatest. And untill Ferguson equalls or betters it, it never will.

and even if he did Bob won his in nine years
i was basing on the fact that you mentioned paisley only took nine years to achieve it all

yes true but what is also fact is he inherited a lot of it the start was created by shanks

also the fact he has done ~~~~ all else in football of note still makes fergie no 1

more trophies than anyone nuff said paisley 9 years whatever done ~~~~ all for the other 30

He only managed for 9 years and was coach for the previous 30 odd years so he never inherited anything he helped build it.

    Slur them??..
Review my posts m8, i have the greatest respect for both Shankly and Paisley..
Unlike lfc fans who refer to Sir Alex in all sorts of name calling.
However as much as i admire Shanks and Paisley, They did a fantastic job in the years that they were in the hot seat.,,
Still i dont think they match up to Sir Alex,
The reason....Continuity, And not only has he a shed load of trophies, he has built an empire.. and empire that wont crumble.

So Kenny is the only player manager to have won the double and probably ever will, but he Inherited the team from Fagan but Fagan won the treble but that's no big deal because he inherited his team from Paisley who despite the fact he was by far and away the most successful manager in the history of the English game was only successful because he inherited the team from Shankly . So for 50 years we had four managers who inherited squads from their predecessors and kept Liverpool at the top

we will never agree but look at it like this

    from wiki

He has won 48 trophies as a manager, making him the most successful British football manager in history.[97]

    Scottish League Cup (1): 1985?86
UEFA Cup Winners' Cup (1): 1982?83

    FA Cup (5): 1989?90, 1993?94, 1995?96, 1998?99, 2003?04
    League Cup (4): 1991?92, 2005?06, 2008?09, 2009?10
    FA Charity/Community Shield (10): 1990 (shared), 1993, 1994, 1996, 1997, 2003, 2007, 2008, 2010, 2011

    UEFA Super Cup (1): 1991
    Intercontinental Cup (1): 1999
FIFA Club World Cup (1): 2008

    and still on the hunt

and compare (more of a note than a list)

    Manager
    Liverpool
    First Division
    Champions: 1975?76, 1976?77, 1978?79, 1979?80, 1981?82, 1982?83

Who knows maybe one of Paisley or Shanks could manage the same but it is to date the greatest feat any manager has ever has achieved.
