Default Recover Opcom with genuine PIC 18F458

    Hello all.

I have just come across an old Opcom interface that was placed into a drawer a number of years ago, after, if I remember correctly, I mistakenly attempted to update the firmware with a genuine Opcom firmware version that wiped the PIC.
I'm pretty sure that the PIC 18F458 chip on the V5 (2007-5-10) PCB is genuine, as I had already successfully updated the firmware on previous occasions without any problems.

The interface is detected by Windows, Opcom FUT, OCFlash and MProg in various ways, but that's as far as it goes.
My question is, can this interface be recovered / re-flashed without the need to remove the PIC 18F458 from the board / the use of a separate PIC programmer ?

Your help and advice would be much appreciated.

    Regards.
