Need EGR OFF for VW Caddy BSU Engine

Hi all, Have problem with this car, i tends to smoke a lot, turbo seems to be fine, doesn't consume oil, the only thing i could think is that EGR leaks or not working properly. It did not pass the MOT smoke test. When accelerator is pressed it blows lots of smoke, but only the moment when you press the pedal.

If possible could someone make the EGR off for this car? I still want to pass mot today
