Remember to uninstall old version before upgrading.

it need new maps cause it wont recognize old maps...

to make maps recognized, rename old all maps.mlm file into McGuider 2009.mlm and all works fine (with new maps obviously) or use the Mc Guider 2009.mlm file at the bottom of this post (Mc Guider 2009.rar)
Keygen need Microsoft.NET framework at least v3.0 to work

Yeehhaahhh, it works! Only took 3.5 hours of fiddling

For anyone trying it, follow this link for more detailed installation instructions.

I had 2 problems before I got it to work - hope they help:

1. Message saying 'Disk error' when trying to start the app. I'm not sure what fixed this but I re-formatted the mass memory and just kept re-trying the install - no real magic to it. I think my phone just got bored of me trying!!

2. Couldn't find the maps. Make sure the 'MAPS' folder is in the root directory and that underneath that, you have sub-folders for each location eg. GBR, FRA etc, with the relevant .PAK (and the other one) in there.

There, feel better now as I have vaguely contributed...

the poi translator listed in another post will work as long as you use "batch translate" option and do all your poi's at once.

Hi all,

Any chance of some help for a newbie?

I have a nokia N85, upgraded from my old n95 where my tomtom navigator 6 is installed.

As I've installed the TT6 software on a few phones I can no longer install it on my new n85.

So, I'm after another sat nav option for the phone.

Tried to download both TTn6 and Mcguider but both fail in the installation from the files I've taken from the net.

Now, I've got loads of files from both aps on my memory card and no working sat nav. Any ideas?

I'm off to Italy on Saturday so could really do with a working sat nav by then.
