How could I turn my PC in to a vu box be cheaper to get the card than a box any ideas ?

You will need a DVB-S2 Tuner card for your PC, it is cheaper as you are halfway there but dont expect it to be easy getting everything working and you lose the easy switch on/off with a remote like you do with a dedicated box.
There are pro's and cons with both sides
