    Default Connecting to unsecured network?

Setting up a box(f5) for a friend, tried it in my own house, works perfect ,took it to my friends house ,no go.The only difference is my friends Internet is unsecured and open. Do I need to change the settings on the box or do I need to make the network secure to make it work.

Go into the network setting on the F5 and switch DHCP on and off so that it picks up a new IP address at your mates house as there is a good chance the box still has yours in.

In that case you need to go into network settings and turn wifi off

Wont make a difference the F3/F5 have a nasty habit or retaining the IP address it was connected to last and so when installed on a new network it is advisable to switch DHCP on and off so it refreshes the data so to speak

Is there a reason why your friend's network is unsecured?
