Default Peugeot 307 wont run properly, anyone experienced this problem?

Working on a 2006 Peugeot 307, car runs like complete crap basically. If you start up the car and let it idle its ok but as soon as you try to take off it turns bad. Just lightly touching the accelerator pedal = the car not accepting the throttle at all and car can hardly move, it wont rev up properly, it just stutters viciously on the throttle, you simply cant drive it at all. Then if you take your foot of the accelerator the car wants to just take off by itself sometimes. If you try to drive the car its just hopeless but if the car just sits there in neutral you wouldnt think there is anything wrong with it. Anyway this problem occurs in reverse and drive. Done full diagnostics check, no faults in any of the ECU at all, have tried new coil pack, no success, have tried another ecu, no success. This job is becoming a nightmare, has anyone experienced this problem before and can maybe shed some light on it? God I hate Peugeots, worst car ever made in the entire world, quality doesnt get any worse then these cars thats for sure

thanks for your reply buddy, yeh checked that, fuel supply is good, fuel pressure is good, no faults found anywhere. It feels like an electrical problem but have no idea where to start looking for the problem. Anyone think a faulty BSI could cause this problem? Ok maybe not, I dont know, im running out of ideas to try

Have you looked at live data values. What readings are you getting for throttle position and engine load when the fault occurs?

    agree with above post.

it's frogench so worth trying crank sensor, ther ?12+VAT or stupidly cheap from the *HOT* bird from the parts place, genuine one.

Can you get a emmisions reading?

Is it pheasable the muffler is collaposing and blocking up exhaust?

Can you disable the ABS/ T/C?

Is there a story with this one?

    are the sparkplugs correct

Think was a ford, but check tempsensor wiring not touching HT leads

Good one meat. Was thinking that myself. Also maybe silly but worth checking air filter and associated pipework. I had a Fiat with a big leave stuck in the tube leading to the airbox. Just past the maf sensor. And it done what your describing.. Over looked it a good few times before I found it. Lying flat in the tube until more air sucked in them it acted like a flap. Easily overlooked.. This was diesel by the way and it made a great smoke screen before dying.

Unplug and then remove front o2 sensor - this will give you a quick idea if the catalytic coverter is blocked. also check temperature of coolant with diagnostic tool.

Just been reading a known fix for the 307. Spluttering stalling hesitation when accelerating. These lot seem to reckon the harness for engine management is known to give poor connection due to vibration over the years. Check multi plug wiring to intake air temperature sensor and map sensor. Apparently these vibrate and slacken providing a crap connection. Also a sensor on accelerator pedal relaying info to the engine ecu then to the throttle housing. .I'd be checking wiring around all this lot mate
