Default USB Loader GX works with every disc except...

    Lego Pirates of the Caribbean.

Install sticks around 1.8% and has been inching forward for hours. Tried it a few times now. Any idea if there is some special encryption or is my disc just scratched? (Didn't see anything on there, but can't think of any other explanation.)

    Welcome to DK.

I don't have LEGO Pirates of the Caribbean but before we start blaming games we need to know whats on your system.

Post a sysCheck19 report as instructed in that link.

Well there is nothing wrong with that sysCheck its the same as mine. sysCheck #MKWDueNa

If you want to remove IOS16 Stub then install my cIOS16-v257 it won't improve anything only remove that Stub.

Now the title says USB Loader works with every disc except...

What do you mean by that?

The idea of USB Loader is run games from an external hard drive why do you want to run it from the disc, its so you don't damage original discs and keep them as a backup?

You can't add LEGO Pirates of the Caribbean is that to the hard drive, do you have an original disc or a burnt copy either should add to a hard drive?

I can't find a decent download of LEGO Pirates of the Caribbean if you like the game that much then buy an original disc and install it to an hard drive.

I suppose my wording was unclear in the original post. What I meant is that I already own Lego Pirates and am trying to rip it to the external drive so I don't have to mess with the disc anymore. I've been able to rip all of my other games so far except this one... so I figured maybe the disc was unique and required some special software to rip or maybe I have a tiny scratch that's making it skip or something. It's not the end of the world, I just was concerned that maybe I was doing something wrong.

Well I've never had a problem installing a game of an original disc (I'm told you can to the same with burn't discs) on USB Loader GX. Just insert the disc and click the + button bottom left and follow the instructions.

I'm familiar with how to rip games to the HDD with USB Loader GX. This is an original disc, but it definitely has to be scratched somehow, even though it doesn't really look bad. I tried loading/playing it like normal just now and it keeps causing an error. (Not sure why I didn't think to try that before posting, heh.) In any case, this is exactly why I wanted to do the whole backup loader thing in the first place so my discs wouldn't get all jacked up. But at least the mystery is solved now! Thanks for all of your responses.

If you like this game that much then buy an original copy again. Or do a search for a good download I did?

I've found LEGO Pirates of the Caribbean - PAL and it works great, though its a typical LEGO game where the characters are made from blocks of LEGO.
