Default 360 Slim, Green dot no pic or sound

Hi i have a slim that started freezing so i removed the x-clamp and replaced thermal paste wit arctic silver 5.

I put it back together tried it and all came back on fine.

I then turned it off and back on after 5min to double check and it froze at xbox screen so i thought it might have been either bolts too tight or too slack.

Been fiddling with the tightness of bolts for nearly and hour and still no joy.

When i turn it on now i get a solid green power light on xbox and on power pack, the screen on tv flickers as if its going to come on but no picture comes on.

Ive checked all usb ports av port for any bent prongs etc and all are ok

If i try and sync a controller in xbox lights flash round and when sync button on remote is pressed is flashes to say its synced but does not show 1 green light on xbox and the remote just flashes all 4 lights on and off.

I've tried different hdmi cables, av cables, tv's and it is still the same.

    Any ideas?

    Thanks in advance.

Has there been any other mods done on the console other than thermal paste replacement?

You can rule out a short as the powerpack should turn red if a short is present (bent usb pins etc)

Could well be, by reading those threads seems to point in that direction, is there any secondary codes given?

If im correct in saying that you get the code the same as you would with a phat?
Pressing and keeping hold of sync button and press eject?

Ive tried that and as soon as i press the eject button the tray opens.

Just been on the phone to someoneand he thinks it could be the internal 4gb memory or it is the gpu/cpu needing reballing.

I havnt got another 4gb memory module to try but does anyone know if it should boot without the internal 4gb memory module?

Ive taken the memory out and tried but its still the same.

    try this
remove ur fix and try bootin it up without any heatsinks

more than likley ur gfx has fried itself

using the xclamp fix is very temperamental and should only be doin bolts up finger tight

if and when u do get it working be prepared for it to only last a maximum of 6 months
