Default DM800 just refuses to work?

Hi, I hope i'm in the right department here! he goes, I have a genuine DM800 with Blackhole image.....but all of a sudden it just stop working on Sunday night? so I decided to reflash the box yesterday. I used the null modem cable way to do it first using Dreamup, to no avail, I got to the flash stage to put the .nfi .....and that's it it won't flash it (says 'waiting for acknowledgment' or there abouts) I left it for hours in that state. but nothing. Then I tried the ip (the ****STOP**** and ip) and the browser way but still absolutely nothing? it wont let me connect via FTP using DCC, the only way to connect to the box is via Telnet to try flash it that way (poss?) Its got me stumped and have no idea what to do next! unless the box has died? hope you guys can help me out, I know I'm in the right place...Phil

Hi Chic and thanx for the welcome, reply, and Sunray Dreamup link ;-) .... about an hour after I posted my thread I found an optiflasher program by www.kassinov.com which worked superb, i've got everything up and running now, i'm glad my box went down really cos it's opened my eyes on how the Dm's etc actually work/function (I just took them for granted) I have a few spare boxes knocking about doing nothing so i'll have a play around with them to learn the ins and outs. thanks again Chic your a gent!....Phil
