Default Wiiflow 4.1.3 Partition Selection Problem........

Hi, just wondering is anyone here knows how to fix a problem I am having with Wiiflow 4.1.3. Almost every time I start it, it goes to a screen prompting me to either select the game partition, or install a game. (from disc) Clicking the option to set the partition goes to a screen that says it is set on SD or USB1. It is usually on SD, but not always. If you change it from USB1 to SD, you cannot change it back. If it is on SD, you cannot put it on USB1. (which is where I want it to be) The only way I can find through this is to back out of Wiiflow completely (HOME button 2 times) and then go back in. At that point, sometimes the games come right up, but sometimes I have to set the partition, which now will work the way it is supposed to, but it never holds the change, and I cannot find a SAVE or APPLY button anywhere. This is driving me crazy, I'd really appreciate it if someone could tell me how to fix this, as Wifflow is the best, in my opinion. Thanks in advance!

    Welcome to DK.

I know nothing about your system so post a sysCheck19 report as intructed in that link.

Explain how your drive is partitioned and formatted?

I used WBFS Manager to format my Western Digital 2TB drive to WBFS. I did not partition it, maybe the program did it for me, but I do not think so. I also had problems with Configurable USB Loader and USBLoader GX freezing up while loading, but someone told me to update to d2x version 10 beta 52, which was no help. Beta 53 seems to have fixed those issues though, but it did not seem to help the Wiiflow problem I am having. Here is my syscheck, thank you for trying to help me sort this thing out.

Well there isn't much wrong with that sysCheck apart from you only have 3 d2x v10 installed instead of the 7 wads in d2x v8 Final wad pack. I've never linked the d2x v10 as to me its still beta.

Is it some games that freeze up or all, can you list them?

Default Not freezing, but partition selection

It is not that the games freeze up. It is that when I load wiiflow, it always asks me to set the partition where the games are located. Once I do that,it never remembers the setting I made. If I install the d2x v.8 final wad pack, do you think that will fix it? The issues with cry and USB loader gx freezing while loading have been resolved at this point.

Have you checked the ini files to see if your settings have been saved with the current date/time if you say it doesn't save them?

I don't really use CFG USB Loader or WiiFlow only if someone has a problem running a specific game. I checked on the version and its 2.2 I downloaded the newer 4.2 and add that to the SD card. When I ran it, it asked for a source and I selected USB1 and all my games showed. I ran a game I usually play and when I exited it normally goes back to WiiFlow but it brought up a DSL error and I had to switch it over and back on.

On 2.2 I have an MP3 that plays perfectly but on 4.2 it stutters as I flick through the games just the same as playing music on USB Loader GX. I didn't like 4.2 so I put 2.2 back and it plays and exits as it should. On 2.2 if you click on the About button bottom left there is a button you can click on update, on 4.2 it isn't there whether it checks if I'm running the latest version on startup I'm not sure.

On WiiFlow 2.2 isn't listed anymore so if you want mine let me know.

I find the .ini file to be confusing, at best. Could you take a look at it, and let me know what you think. The directory I want it to have is USB1, but I do not see that in here. Two potential spots I see are the second line in the DML section, and the second line above the HOMEBREW section. In the meantime, I am going to install that v.8 final wad pack, and see what happens. I have copy/pasted my .ini here......, and thank you very much for all your time and assisstance, it is surely appreciated!

I don't know how they write to the ini file (wiiflow.ini) but thats not the proper way one continuous line.

Sorry I can't really help you on this problem have you Googled it?

Yes, I've googled it over and over again, with no luck at this point. The .ini is one continuous line, but when I copy/pasted it here, it came out the way you see it here. Installing the wad pack did not help, and I updated ios 251 from d2x v.10 beta52 to beta53, and that was also no help. I guess I'm gonna try backing up the .ini and making some changes to the one on the SD card to see what might happen there. I think I will also make a new post and ask someone with a working copy of Wiiflow (any version) if they will post thier .ini so I can see what it is supposed to look like, as opposed to what mine looks like. Even if it is from a different version, I would think it would look somewhat similar. Again, thanks for all the advice you have given to me, even if it did not get me where I want to be. I'm determined to get there eventually. By the way, thanks for the offer of an older version of Wiiflow, but I have had older versions, but for whatever reason, they would not play all of my games, most notably the BACK TO THE FUTURE game Version 4.1.3 plays them all, it just has this darn partition selection issue going on.

I've just tried to play BACK TO THE FUTURE on WiiFlow it started up but when I click on an episode it jumps back to the Wii menu. I play it with USB Loader GX and it plays perfectly. I would forget WiiFlow and stick to USB Loader GX if I were you.

Another thing I when into the saved games and there is a new one WiiFlow Save that must have been made when I used 4.2 earlier so that got erased.

Now because the older WiiFlow 2.2 isn't available to download I've now added it in the Wii Dowloads section WiiFlow2.2-249. If your having problems when you exit WiiFlow with the Exception (DSI) occurred error then add this older version to the SD card and try it.

Thank you, but no thank you. I don't want the older versions because they will not play some of the games, whereas the newer versions will. (reference what I said earlier about the BACK TO THE FUTURE game) Anyway, I have been away from here for several days while I tried to get my Wii/Wiiflow issue sorted out, and I finally decided to take your advice and get rid of Wiiflow completely. I now have CFG and Loader GX, and all is very well. I see under your avatar, it says 'thanked 48 times in 48 posts'. I'd like to add to this number, but do not know how to do so. Can you assist me with this, or does it not really matter to you one way or the other?
