    Default skybox m3 red light

i have a skybox m3 all it shows is a red light on front panel (wont boot at all).
I have tried different versions of upgrade tool and many editions of firmware but I keep getting stb memory error, firewall is turned off on pc (xp) and I have run the config files with all versions of upgrade tools and different timings before applying power to skybox.
has anyone recovered an m3 box and if so can someone let me know what upgrade tool and firmware to use in recovering my m3..ps power supply is putting out the correct 12 volt supply.
thanks in advance if some one on d/k can help me..(its doing my head in) thanks.

Lack of response could also be attributed to the local Open/Skybox brigade reading your initial post and thinking that you have already tried every known avenue out there to recover it. And so any more input would just lead you going round in circles again.

The Skybox F5/F3/M3 are all the same firmware, im sure of it.
Have you ever had to recover your box before, using the PC/Laptop your trying to use know ?
Are you using a proper PC with a com port or a USB to COM cable ?

Everything you need is in the 8M folder.

Make sure you use the SKYBOX_3601HD_CMT_130327079B.abs
