I can't see any problems having few software installed on one computer as long as you have big hard drive..........beside from Renault Clip and Nissan Consult, Ford IDS and Jaguar they can't be mixed together on one computer............You can have one of each installed and not have any problems...........
I personally using Dell D630 with XP Pro SP3 and have install in PP2000, Lexia 3, Abrites, Oups CMT, Renault Clip, Focom, Vag-Com, Vaux-Com, BMW Bavarian Tech, BMW Impa, Tech Stream, Honda Diagnotic, Volvo Vida, and many more other key programming software's never had any problem but, as I said you need to have bigger hard drive and more memory.......
Thanks Ash

After few years of struggling and reloading OS-ses on my working laptops I get to the conclusion that with one system you get sooner or later some conflicts. And thats happen usual when your workshop its ful of work![]()
I use now "BootIt" software to make a multiboot machine. I have 5 separated OS-es on one laptop, and one partition with data and documents that I can access from all of the OS-es.
I have also one partition of about 15GB with instaled Win XP Pro and all the drivers that I don't use, but I can always copy this partition over one other and make the new fresh Win XP OS in 15min.
The bad think its only that you have to reboot the machine, to access other OS, but when you reboot it it's totally insulated "Real OS running - not VM-s that run slow".
I use only one computer to work this way. I use HP Elitebook 8460p 14" CPU I5 with 8GB of RAM 500GB 7200RPM HDD and additional 500GB HDD in DVD Slot.

I also put my vote down for virtual machines (vmware or virtualbox). Also don't forget you can move your virtual machines all you want, to any computer. Having 5 different os-s on one computer sounds like a real headache to me.
From my experience most diag softwares run fine with each other...and the rest that is too complicated or too picky, like ford ids, xentry, bmw dis and sss can be run on a virtual machine. They may be a bit slower that way, but they'll last longer...especially if you make safety copies every now and then :P
I also run few software's in one lap with no issues...
I actually have two exactly the same, HP tx1000 touch screen...
They are fast, small and the touch make it practical...
I have two, as I use one to test new installations...
Like already said, clip and consult, ford and jag they don't go together...
Hit Thanks if helped you!
Thank You for the help!

U can use Dell D630 with XP sp3 professionnel and usn vmware for BMW DIS and Xentry
The only way to avoid any possible conflicts is to have one laptop for each software package. ie a laptop for VCDS, another for INPA etc.
However, this is just silly.
SOLUTION:
Do a clean install of the OS and install all the drivers and other software like Office, Adobe reader etc.
Do NOT install any diag software yet.
Install a disk imaging program on your laptop. I use Macrium Reflect.
Make a disk image (This will be your clean install and you can restore this at any time)
Now install just one diag package ie VCDS.
Make another disk image.
Restore the clean image and install another diag package ie INPA
Make another image of the hard drive.
etc
So, you will have one laptop and lots of disk images called "VCDS.img" "INPA.img" etc. You simply restore the image that is needed.
No conflicts, no crashing, no time wasted.
Downside is just that you have to save all the disk images. My disk images are about 2.5 Gb each. I can fit all the images that I use on a single 80 Gb USB external hard drive.
I have Acer Aspire One and 160 Gb on 4 diifferent space on 2 space win 7 ,another 2 win xp .Simple 1 laptop 4 different windows system.
Great
