    Default Deleting Channel list F5 / F5S??

I have followed instructions on how to delete prior to applying new channel list and on each of 3 occasions have ended up, (on both stbs), with 'No Channel' after applying new list. (Therefore I have to scan the sat again). If I don't delete prior to uploading new list all is well....but I note that sattv5's excellent new list posts now say to delete. Could someone please point me to a thread with a comprehensive guide! I have searched!

When you deleted the previous list and then loaded the new list did you then restart the receiver or even put in standby switch off at mains and then switch on and restart.

Hi Digicon. I restarted after load.....so sounds like I need to restart after delete. Thanks. Will try that.

As digicon says, you need to go into standby & then back on again after the new channel list has been installed.

Are you sure that the new list is being recognised on your memory stick?

After installing the new list, have you pressed the info button to see if the installation was a success?

Even if the box cannot read the channel list, it still appears to install it. You can normally tell if it wasn't successful by the time it takes (only a second or 2 compared to around 10 seconds for a successful install).

Thank you both for tips. I remain baffled so suppose that I should continue to overwrite! I don't normally get beaten by anomalies in my array of stbs!!!! The load is at least 10 secs and the 'info' says OK. Still end up having to scan sat after a 'delete'. Cheers and good luck in the winds!
