    Exclamation Openbox S12 HDMI fault

    Hi
    i have openbox S12 box with hdmi problem get no output on the hdmi port but it's ok on scart would be very grateful if some one as any information on this fault, as seen many people with the same fault but no cure.

    If you can't repair it, leave it as you found it, don't destroy it.

    I know that you can cause HDMI issues if you pull the HDMI Cable out sometimes when in use, but to be honest the HDMI ports on these units are actually robust.
    I would suggest that you reflash the firmware to a very old version to re-enable the HDMI port and then flash back to whatever version your using now

    Hi
    thank you for the information as I am new with this if I flash with new or old firmware will I not loose info of the card share etc as I do not have any information as this box was given to me by a friend or is there a way to save the info before I re flash it all help and info will be very welcome thank you.

    Before reflashing your box, have you checked that the video resolution is set to a resolution that you TV can detect on the HDMI output?

    My TV can sync to all resolutions, but not all TV's can.

    Try scrolling through the different resolutions to see if there is one that your TV likes.
