Default Help With Clone VU+ Solo

Took a chance and brought a UV+ Solo for ?50, checking it looks like a clone and has a V2 sticker on the base of the box.
The guy said it was working fine till he updated some software and now its stuck on channel 4 and the remote wont respond.

    I put BlackHole2.0.2Rev.AUKReadyVU+SoloBackupByTenBelow _Ferrari_V2
on the box and now its starts on channel 4 but you can move up and down the channels using front button but the remote still wont respond.

The remote is fine as I checked the remote on my ICloud box - Any ideas what to try next please.....btw, I put on the above image cos it said V2 but will the box take a V3 image or would I risk bricking the box?

Got it going the remote was set to a Duo and not a Solo

If you have the same problem then press (on the remote)

    2 + 7 for about 3 secs
    press Help
Press 0001 (for a Solo box) or 0002 (for a Duo box) Looks like the Icloud is classed as a Duo box

    Try a v2 safe image from 8a8f8.com

It's quite possible you're putting on images that aren't right for the box.

As a duo owner I recommend a Vix image, their built in autobouquetmaker alone makes it the best choice for me.

Tried all images and it was still the same but I got it going in the end.............I stripped down the box and removed the front panel
and then plugged in the front unit without any covers etc, and it started to work again, re-assembled back one bit at a time
and kept checking every time I re-assembled a part to make sure it was still working and it seems to be ok now.

All I can guess is that maybe a ribbon cable was maybe loose from where the front panel joins the main board and therefore
preventing the receiver on the front panel from working properly.................ie seems to be fine now even with me bashing
the side of the box every so often in hope that it wont start playing up again...and so far for the last 3 - 4 days its been
fine no matter what V2 image I put on the box
