Default sky box f5 channel list update

hi, can anyone point me in the right direction, I have a sky box f5 and I have lost some of the channels of it, I don't know a lot about uploading new channel list to it and would like some help doing this from start to finish, firstly where would I obtain an up to date channel list in the correct order, am I better off updating the whole list or just the channels I have lost? if anyone can help me or point me to the correct thread it would be very much appreciated

Just stick AJ's list on. Its quite a simple job as long as you have a zip extraction program like winrar, winzip or 7zip.

Save the TP_PROG file to memory stick or desktop then copy to mem stick.

    Box on any channel.

    Plug USB memory into box

    On your Remote Control:

    Press Menu
Right or left arrow to Tools
    Press OK
Scroll down to Upgrade by USB
    Press OK
The Top Line needs to be changed to Misc Files by using right or left arrow
Then scroll Down to Select & Upgrade
    Press OK
    TP_PROG.dbs should be highlighted
Press OK (Places a tick at the end)
    Press Yellow Button.

When finsished (100%) Press Exit, Exit,Exit

    Remove USB

Box may reboot itself but if not power off and back on

Hi DW190. Thanks for your reply, it looks quite straight forwards, can you tell me which list to down load with no adult content, there seems to be 2 of them without it? I have down loaded winzip, when I down load the correct list do I down load it to winzip and then on to my usb device? thanks for your help

One of the files will contain duplicates of HD Film & Sports channels in SD as well (with SD), while the other one will not.

Once you have installed Winzip it should provide you with a right-click context menu. So when you download AJ's channel list, just right-click on it & select "extract here" or "extract to" or something worded similar. Once it's uncompressed just copy & paste to your memory stick.

If you prefer a Sky ordered list (same as you would get on a subbed Sky+ box), then download the channel list by sattv5.

Are you selecting the right file on the upgrade file option and if the channel list file isn't named correctly it won't load!!

Do as dw said and Download aj's list extract the file and then put it on usb stick then load into skybox

If it says upgrade none it could be any of a few things.

Have you extracted the file with winzip or similar?

Have you pressed ok to place a tick after selecting TP_PROG before pressing the yellow button?

Hi all, quick question. I have a Skybox f5 (clone) i downloaded the firmware update from: www.hddvbsw.com
i would like a channel list for sky channels to be in some form of order. my worry is using a wrong channel list and bricking my box.
can anyone suggest a update i can use?
