Skylanders Swap Force Portal not working

i think its the game itself as others are having similar problems. try disconnecting your wii from the internet or, at the point where the game freezes try playing with one non swap force skylander. this could be a problem activision needs to sort out.
you could also try unfolding the usb cable completely and placing the portal away from the wii. or lastly try freeing up about 1500 blocks on the wii
