    Default MED 9.1 clone

Im trying to do some research how to virginise or clone VAG MED9.1 I have found some threads where people were making immo off for this ECU. I read another thread where was a discussion about MED17.1 ECU being Tricore ECU and so far is no option to virginise or clone this type of ECU.
Is MED9.1 a tricore ECU ? Can I read full ECU content by BDM and just upload it to another MED9.1 ? Can I modify the content and make it Immo off ?
If somebody would shine some lights on all these questions that would be great.

MED9 is not tricore, You can clone the ecu just by copying the e2p and flash to a replacement. You can also immo-off it. If you need info on the e2p checksums, feel free to ask.

if you can bdm it and you dont NEED immo off, then just reflash new ecu with the bdm read and it will be a 1:1 clone and work in the car.

If the MED9.1 is not the Tricore ECU than Yes I can just BDM the Flash and Eeprom and upload it to the new ECU. Can somebody point me in the right direction how to do Immo in MED 9 and ME7 ECU ? What needs to be modified in the Flash or EEprom?

Noone is going to just give you this information for MED9.

ME7 however, is attached below. ALSO! Make sure to decrease the values in 1F and 2F by the amount you incremented 12 and 22 in order to update the checksums.

Thank You for the info on ME7. I assume I have to read the EEprom memory of ME7 and do the mods right? Can I use MPPS to do the read? I have also Willem Programmer if needed.

gq3x is a much better and still cheap option compared to a basic willem. my lpt willem had problems writing the 95040 chip.
there are tools to read/write me7 e2p in bootmode though. mpps is not one of them. mpps only r/w flash.
