    Default best resolution settings for skybox f3

    hi all i have got my f3 running from hdmi to my 1080p lcd tv which is the best setting on f3 for resolution thanks.

    I use 1080p 60.

    you would be better choosing 1080i as there is nothing broadcast on satellite in 1080p AFAIAA, This will then prevent your box from doing any additional post processing to the video feed and what you watch will be how its broadcast

    ok thanks guys' digicon i tried a mkv @ 1920 x 1080 or 1280 x 720 at it plays fine with correct ratio' the reason i asked about res settings is that all mkvs are encoded 23.976 fps ntsc and set at 1080i_50 you get the judder effect which is pretty annoying having to change from 50hz to 60hz' will have to invest in a real media player me thinks.thanks

    AHH! you never said anything about playing MKV's in your original post i assumed you meant for general satellite viewing so for MKV's as you stated which are 1080p then as ellis4567 stated use the 1080p 60 option.

    That is about as close to a judder free image you will get as there is no option for 1080/24p in the menu which would give you true Blu-ray feel and smooth motion.

    A dedicated media Player with a 1080/24p setting would be the preferred output for media playback
