Anyone else had problems snapping probes off. I'm only having the problem when using the c clamp to do renault card key blades.
Just broken another one. I recalibrated the clamps and cutter first and still got the problem. I can take the probe out to avoid it happening but would be nice to find a solution.

I don't think the Condor can do the emergency blade yet, would be nice to get an update for these. My condor struggles to even detect the key and when it does it won't cut deep enough even with the depth settings adjusted.

I've had no problems decoding or cutting Renault emergency key blades. If you choose the copy key option and select by model they are there. It's just the probe catching the clamp that's causing an issue

I'm in the same boat as 54321 on this. Using firmware 2.2.9

Attempting to cut a blade leaves it with a faint outline of the cut milled into the surface. Attempting to decode just has the probe enter the original key, sweep side to side a few times and then fail.

BTW, this is using the chinese keyblades for the laguna with the lurid green cover. They do seem slightly thinner than the grey handled originals.

IMG_1296.JPGCan somebody confirm where the Condor is saying to place the key in this picture, i've circled the area with a yellow circle. I'm having a play around with the machine and i'm trying to copy a hu83 key. From what i've gathered its asking for the key to be placed up to the keys shoulder but the hu83 key has no shoulder??

Someone made a cock up on the software. It should be on the 2nd end stop.

Is anybody having trouble copying keys with the condor?

I've not been able to copy a single key successfully, I'm using a 1.5mm probe and a 2.0mm cutter, I've calibrated the tool many times but it makes no difference.

I've tried 2007 Astra hu100, Citroen dispatch hu83, Golf hu66, tried about 5 blanks on each of these and none copied correctly.

    Any ideas?

it may sound daft but are you sure those cutters are 2.0. The ones that ship with the Condor are 2.5.

Yes I was using the 2.5 at first but then I changed it to a 2.0 to see if that would make any difference, both sizes fail to copy

Try to calibrate. I made a key for a BMW HU92R and it worked perfectly. A few days later I made the exact same key (by code, same code) and it didn't cut the correct depth. The machine was unplugged but wasn't moved at all, after recalibrating the x2 jaw it was spot on (just recut the same key because it was too shallow not too deep).

Try cutting one to code and see if it's the cutting part or the decoding part that is incorrect.

when calibrating , are you calibrating just the cutters or the cutters and the clamps , try to recalibrate jaws to see if this helps .

check connections are all tight too.

site read key to check if decode is correct once you read it , you can at least narrow down if decode or cut is wrong

    oopsss.... repeating question....

rapidlocksmiths already explained to me on previous page most of the advantages and options of XC-007, but I wanted to know if there is a tool which can extract the key code by OBD2, so you can just plug it in get the code cut the key without taking the lock apart or calling the distributor ..if you don't have the corresponding Lishi tool?

only vauxhall tend to pull key code via obd , some like bmw can be read via eeprom , and some like hyundai , kia can be found by entering vin number in a program like ad600 or icc .

but to reliably get key cuts from most you will need to pick and decode with lishi or pull and strip the lock down
