    Default skybox f5 freezes

    i have a skybox f5 and a offical sky uk box connected to the same tv, when i switch to the sky uk box the f5 freezes and i have to reboot it
    any ideas why??

    edit; i don't mean channel freeze/scramble i mean the box just gets stuck for some reason, i had this problem with my s10 as-well

    Are you splitting the satellite feed by any chance?

    what i do have is a sky uk mini dish with 2 seperate coaxial cables coming out of a 2 different ports on a quad lnb, 1 to the f5 and 1 to the genuine sky box

    My own thoughts are the lnb but could be something else. You could try putting one in a different port.

    not all LNB's are proper quad units.....sometimes its one feed to 4 ports.
    I bought a dedicated quad LNB to get around issues like this

    Same thing happened on my f5s lost signal on FTA hd mainly as soon as S-y box turned on dont use loop through
    Run a new cable from quad lnb on your dish mine works fine now you can do a quick test
    press info button on remote twice to give OSD signal strength and quality think you will find
    When u switch your S_y box on it grabs your signal hope this helps
