    Default Programmers

I am looking to start the vehicle Ecu, immo, clocks repair servicing and would like to know which programmers I will be needing, and which adapters.

    I have acquired two programmers:

    Advantech Lab Tool-48
    and
    a Xeltek SuperPro/L+

I would like to know please:

1, Are both these good enough for me to cover everything to do with MCU and Eeprom reading writing?

2, Will I need adapters and if so which ones please?

3, I haven't any software for them what software do you recommend and where can I get it from please?

    Thanks in Advance

Thanks MAXIMUS1000, WOW you got a big collection, do they all do different things or you just got a collection acumulated over time?

Which ones of your collection do you consider to be the best? and which one covers majority of chips and the jobs you do?

Trouble is as I am new to all this, I don't know which to buy and which to leave as I don't want to waste money on things I won't be using.

Also I don't know how to tell which ones are original and which are fake (clones), and where to buy the original ones from.

Do you think the ones I got can be used? and for which chips are they useful for?

    Sorry about all the questions

    Thanks

    SARGE

X prog-T is a good start mate, but all this programming is not as easy as you may think!

    Hi sarge

I advise you to Buy the CARPROG and Willem to start with, most eeproms will be cover ...They are good programmers,I work everyday with this 2 ...

I buy it from index ( They are local to me BUT they send to other countrys also)The material is ALL original,no fake like many others ....and the support is just great......

Speak with MARC at www.obd2cartools.com ,the advise is just great 100%....they are very honest with they clients,,and the products they are all original and updated...

    Cheers

i also use star diagnosis at our workshop, and i have no problems with that. i have the developer mode, but with it i cannot access the internal data in for example instrument cluster, for example to change odometer reading, unlock EIS or engine ecu. there are a lot of things you cant do with star diagnosis. i want to purchase eeprom programator which can read/write chips in mercedes vehicles. so i need a recommendation from anyone who has tested and working solution. thanks!
