Did you replace the netgear router instead of bt hub (ie bt hub isn't plugged in to anything at all) or did you add netgear router after the bt hub?

Hi, the netgear router completely replaced the bt router.

I might be wrong but it could be possible that the ip address of your box is the same as another device connected to your network. Enter network settings- ethernet- set up of box, turn dhcp off, change last number of ip address to a different one i.e. if it says 192.168.000.005 try changing it to 192.168.000.009 then click apply then turn dhcp back on, turn box off then back on and see if that works. Only a suggestion.

A DHCP server shouldn't issue out duplicate IP addresses unless of course it's playing up.

murphy, can you look at your skybox in network settings and (assuming its set to auto) mark down the IP address that has been allocated to it by the router (eg 192.168.x.x) and the mac address of the skybox.

Now can you go to youtube app and try and load it and a video (I realise it wont work) and at the same time can you check router settings in the section that lists things connected and see if the IP address you previously wrote down is listed in the router and mac address also matches what your wrote down.

Now assuming you can see the skybox ip address in router settings can you check the ip address and/or mac address you wrote down that either aren't listed twice
