So, I have next question about UPA-S.

I today try read MC68HC05B06 PLCC52 ISP. Usually with the old version I read without problem.
But now with new UPA-S I have 997 system error.
And HW test is completly failed.
Try change two USB cables, change power supply from USB to External power.

Have anybody the same problem?

When I try read secured V850 NEC I have only security message.
But now I have this message.

Who please help to me.

I sent email to Penko and he write to me: Add power, chage USB cable.
But all without success. :-(

Maby solved. I test it tomorrow.
I have instaled bad version of usb driver.
Now is hw test ok.

Hi Arthur, today I try to read a CAS2 with 100nf using Rosfar 260 PDF , it bypass secured but after that it say 1 error in reading, I use external power, uncheck the error verify box but nothing,
This cas is different to Mario's example .
At the end I must do with xprog because costumer was waiting!
Do you check it before?

Xprog is risky on cas units, use r260 quick and save and calculation what do you need more and that for about 100 USD.

Hi I know, but on these days my R260 dead, I have not choice, but I am using xprog 5.51 without trouble.

Can anyone confirm that UPA-S is able to read the full flash, not just EEPROM, from upd78f0948/upd78f0949?

I have tried with old clone but just get 256 bytes repeated across the 60kb.

Nope. Just eeprom by me to. And flash option is greyed out anyways. The option where it reads somethin repeated is memory map

Thanks, elrasoft site wasn't clear on it at all, although maybe different for ROM 780948.

Are any tools able to read, and write, flash of 78f0948? NEC docs I found don't really detail protocol, just refer to their Flashpro tool for programming.
