Yes the problem is old UPA start address is 000 to End address FFF. The New UPA for same chip has Start address 000 but End address as 7FF. If the data is on bottom half of chip it reads blank. It also wont let you change End address to FFF.

Concerning the 9s12h128 buffer on the UUSP-S. Here is the answer from the person who makes the programmer. Arthur.
According 9s12H128 datasheet
EEPROM size is 2KB (0-7ff)
But It may have a specific device with a 4KB eeprom
In this case for reading/programming 9s12h256 can be selected

Hi friends,
I've tested my new Upa on 93c56 memory (by points) and everything worked fine. Than I went for the serious business - MAC7242. I've connected every cable according to Carprotool and Xprog images. I've checked it also with diagrams in UPA, but I can't read it. Upa shows the Jtag ID but read only 000000 for shadow and flash. I still have to try lifting some legs of MAC7242 but maybe someone can give me hand here to avoid it.

Maybe the SRS unit has to be powered to read it (there is a connection on Codecard site)?

I think I managed to solve the problem. As I have used earlier version of UPA on my PC drivers for the UUSP-S were automaticilly copied. I went to control panel/system/device manager and manually picked the new drivers destination and updated them. Then after rebooting my pc I managed to read the MAC7242 without a problem.

So for those who use old version of UPA remember to update your drivers!!!
