focus spare key

bought focus 1.8 zetec hatchback w reg only got one key which has central locking and imob on key, 3 button .does anyone know the cheapest or cheaper alternative to acquire a spare other than visiting my local ford dealer where i suspect it would cost me an arm and a leg i only have the key i was supplied with and vehicle (vin no) as reference.

i would get a price off ford to check against locksmiths who can give and code keys for u,do not leave it to long as ford are crap keys and u might lock urself out of car.
