Audi A4 8K Remote programming/resync

I have an Audi A4 8K 2009 here and the remote stopped working, then the owner tried the second remote and also didn't work.
Car starts with both keys.

I was told resync manually does not work.
Do you know if I can program/resync these remotes with VCDS? If not what tool can do it?

Car has 0 dtcs. Car is from 2009.

I think the car has been already in a guy with avdi and he didn't solve it.

Do you know the procedure to program it with avdi?

You really don't get it...Remote + transponder is programmed together.
You won't be able to program a used key...

I know yours is 8K but, you can still try it

This is the manual procedure you mentioned. but worth a try anyway. you may want to remove/disconnect all electronic devices from the car (like cell phones, other remotes, ipad, etc). And move the other remote far away if there's a short.

A4 (8K) 2009 – 2010, A5 (8T) 2008 - 2010:
a. Press a button on the remote key
within the range of the vehicle.
b. If necessary open the vehicle with
the emergency key on the door lock.
c. Switch the ignition on and off.
(you can google this TSB, easy)

Make sure driver's door lock switch is actually working and sending signal to the comfort module to unlock doors. Or you may have hardware problem like antenna/receiver. If central module is not getting any signal from remote, there would be no DTC.

VCDS can sync the remote (read Ashraf's post) . Also try to clear old remotes.

avdi can definately program transponder and remote

Maybe he or someone else change alarm to off. Try with avdi make alarm on again.

have you tested keys for remote RF output?

wouldnt be the first time i see a car with both remotes failed.

This happens quite often.
Programming the keys back in usually fixes the problem unless its hardware related.
Yes they are used but they have the correct CS bytes so it wont be a problem.

I measured RF and all button in both remotes output 868mhz.

I'll try these procedures today.

Regarding the 8E procedure with vcds does not work, channel 21 in adaption gives ERROR.
Tried various manual procedures, always waited around 5 minutes between the tries and still no luck.

Anyone knows the procedure to reprogram keys with avdi? I don't have it, but can visit a friend that has it but doesnt know how to work with it, so I'll have to do it myself.
